ENHYPEN has quickly emerged as one of the kingpins in K-pop in recent months, thanks to their debut appearance on I-LAND’s Making the Band-style reality show and subsequent accolades at three separate award shows for being named Rookie of the Year within 12 days after dropping their mini album.
Since then, they’ve created chart-topping singles and sold out venues throughout Asia, Europe and the US. Much of their success can be attributed to charismatic personalities, eye-catching choreography and varied musical styles; yet what really distinguishes this group is their willingness to push beyond comfort zones into uncharted territory – an aspect which truly sets them apart.
At the recent Dallas leg of their “Fate” world tour, ENHYPEN proved just as captivating onstage as they appear in their music videos. Their energetic set list featured 24 songs including two encores; while some found the second encore to be less impressive than expected; nonetheless it still provided an amazing performance with the finale song being Future Perfect (Pass the Mic), which became one of their signature songs and an instant crowd pleaser.
ENHYPEN’s members recognize how far they have come since coming together as a band in 2017. After an incredible first year that included an extremely successful world tour and multiple best new artist awards, ENHYPEN knows they still have more to achieve success in 2018.
DARK BLOOD, their latest release, provides a snapshot of their progression as they further explore their dark vampire theme. Fusing classic rock from the 1970s with contemporary hip-hop of Post Malone hip-hop influences, this album transports listeners on an journey that shows why being famous may not always live up to expectations.
This album also contains a throwback production called ‘Blind,’ with vocals by all three members – Lee Heeseung’s powerful falsetto stands out most prominently – making for an exceptional track. Blind is available both digitally and through physical formats with iTunes offering iTunes exclusives as well as CD versions available at Target that contain 1 of 7 photo cards randomly chosen during production.
2023 is looking like it will be an exciting year for ENHYPEN with their forthcoming EP and tour planned. After enjoying success with ORANGE BLOOD, Heeseung, Jay, Jungwon, Sunghoon Sunoo Ni-ki have their sights set on even greater achievements over the course of the next several years.
